Here is another NEW ( for Hartle-Gilman Gardens)  Mak Leek’s masterpieces. ‘Isle of Bute’

Sturdy strong stems hold a number of large buds that open to revel graceful blooms that are large. The stunning rose-glow of peppermint pink tepals are delicately displaying intricate workmanship. Carefully examining one will notice frosted edging that matches the depth of the nectaries. Ripples of gentle wave ruffle the tepals slightly causing reflections to shine at just the right moment.   Soft slippers of golden tan anthers, the blooms emerge with a fragrance that will carry you to the ‘Isle of Bute’.  Highlands or Lowlands, this masterpiece will reward your gardens for seasons to come.  I have limited quantities this season.

Classification: Oriental Hybrid Lily (USDA Zones 7b-9, lows to +5 F. Winter mulch recommended in the colder climates) Needs well drained sandy soils and dry winters to increase.
