Ordering & Shipping
1. When your receive your order from Hartle/Gilman Gardens, I will expect you to open, and double check my packing. I make mistakes!!! If you're finding the packed not satisfactory, I need a message sent to me in three days upon delivery with any concerns. I WILL BE ABLE TO SEE IF AND WHEN YOUR PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED via the shipping method that I have used. It could be missing bulbs, a damaged box delivered, or even an email saying it arrived yet you never received it. You can also, contact me to say all is good. If I do not hear from you within the three day notice, then I WILL BELIEVE THAT ALL IS SATISFACTORY. Your invoice will be mailed to you simultaneously with shipping.
Payments accepted: Checks, money orders, Venmo or Paypal. My preference is a check as there seem to be tons of fees these days that I think all of you are familiar with. I will be adding a 3% charge to your invoice for credit card payments. It will be your choice how you pay, and if you choose to use a credit card. I see many fees via cc, PayPal and I cannot keep absorbing these cost.
Spring Shipments go out April for this season 2026. Sale will begin , right around the 1st of March.
My sales will stay available for only about 4-5 weeks 2026 Aire of spring, then I plan on closing down the site and preparing for our paying it forward event at the Minnesota Arboretum. We are very thrilled to be apart of a fundraising event over a weekend in May. ( Mother's Day Weekend) If I have any left over bulbs at that time after Mother's Day weekend, I will have a blow out sale. Last year I did not have a sale as we soldout of all of are hard to find and one of a kind lily bulbs.
Fall Shipping is in October and usually later as I will be harvesting, as well as receiving from growers this year! Harvesting fall bulbs can’t and will not be dug till they are completely dormant. Meaning the stem needs to be nice and brown prior to the harvesting. I also have to have my inventory inspected by Minnesota State Agriculture Department. Sometimes when digging I come across crops that cannot be offered once I take a look at the size and quality of the bulb, then and only then, I will substitute like for likes. Example would be a Red Asiatic side facing for another Side Facing Asiatic Red in colour. If this is not something you want me to do there is an option at check out to check Do not substitute my order.
Shipping Rates: 1-12 bulbs is approximately $15.00. 13-18 bulbs is $19.00 Rates subject to change if USPS changes Its rates. I will communicate any update if the cost seems to change. Each order is different with each season. Also, pick up is an option. Either way, we will communicate.
YOU HAVE MY MESSENGER CONTACT AND I AM HERE FOR ANSWERING QUESTIONS.
Payment Due Dates: Spring invoices are scheduled around the week of April 15. Fall around Oct 15th. Shipping to coincide with the Spring/Fall e-mailing invoice.
Some people, as I would suggest, including myself will pre dig holes in the fall for fall orders and deliveries. I suggest that you make labels ahead of time. (Especially in the fall) That way planting is a breeze in late Sept and October. We can get heavy rains in the North. Canada please listen and take heed! Your shipping will be a priority! I will try my hardest !
Ordering on Facebook is another option, https://www.facebook.com/groups/846324742622004 I will limelight different lilies that will be available, sometimes I have specials that are only available on FB, so you will have to decide if you want to reserve from this platform too. If you reserve from both the website and a social media platform, I will combined the orders on one invoice and ship all items together. Comment on the number of bulbs you wish to order under the picture. With this Facebook group , if I “
” your post, I have reserved you order. BY PLACING AN ORDER, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE RULES THAT ARE POSTED HERE.
I also ask that you do not “like” other post on the sales page or have conversations. This disturbs the flow of your reservations of items as well as of others. However, if you would like to join our sister page, here is a link provided so you can show off your gardens as well as ask questions.
New Customers: I WILL NEED A FRIEND REQUEST OR SEND ME A MESSAGE IN MESSENGER. I need this right away... I need your address and email address to open your account. Billing address if different, I also need phone number for UPS. So, please send me the info, or I will be asking. Your information is regarded as highly confidential and extremely secure. I would never ever share your information with anyone. This is my word.
It is recommended that you maintain a list of what you order so that you can check against your invoice. When reserving on line, you will receive a email confirmation with your items that I will be sending you when it’s safe to plant. Communicate is the key factor here. I will have a list I can send you if your deposits may be required. New customers placing orders over $200 will be requested to make a NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT. Deposits are only required if requested. I have had some take my bulbs, accept them and not pay. So, new customers,. I may request and I will post that to you as a request.
Please remember that once you order an item, it is no longer available to sell to any of my other customers. IT BECOME EXCLUSIVELY YOURS. Please do not reserve and/or orders items with the intention of cancelling these items at a later date. If you want to cancel an item, just let me know, do not delete the request that you placed in the comment section. Doing that, I will not know and you will get the requested bulb anyway and have to pay for it.
Cancelation is not a big deal… we all change our minds on items we put in reserve. This is not fair to other customers. Lots of work goes into organizing all of these orders for each and every one of you. I value each and everyone of you
Life events occur, and if you are no longer able to complete your purchase, PLEASE notify me As soon as possible. I also have a prayer list and would be honored to send well wishes with tons of prayers.
Failure to make payment on time means your order will be cancelled. Your account will be suspended until you can come up with a payment plan on past debts. You can enjoy the view, but you will not be able to touch nor buy.
Hartle-Gilman Gardens reserves the right to refuse any order it does not want to accept.
IMPORTANT: All items are sold in anticipation of harvest. Many things can go wrong including bulbs that do not size up, bulbs destroyed by rodents, rot, disease, etc. These are all classified as CROP FAILURES. Crop failures will either be substituted or dropped from your invoice. If you do not check the box at check out with your option, then it is assumed that I will substitute if necessary. Since you have not paid for them, no adjustments are necessary . Just disappointment. This year, with crop failures, I will keep a list of whom has requested and send out a quick email when it is available again so that you can have the first option. It will be up to you to let me know.
I do my best to deliver products true to name. I am a grower, as well I have items that are supplied to me that still may be incorrect. These situations, I am, as much a “victim” as you, and I apologize. Errors are and will be reported to my suppliers and if possible items are replaced the following year or as my supplies allow. I am here to give you back with is rightfully yours.
Your money.
