L. x dahansonii ‘Guinea Gold’
$23.00
Description
‘Guinea Gold’ Martagon Lily Registered and Named by Frank Skinner pre 40’s. This has the most charming sunset-rich caramel colored flowers, speckled with cinnamon. It has the classic Martagon candelabra form with small nodding turk’s cap flowers and whorled leaves. Interesting pink buds. This lily is somewhat reminiscent of the old Mrs. R.O. Backhouse’s winsome habit, which is now extinct in commercial distribution.’Guinea Gold’ Martagon Lily was derived from L. martagon crossed with various Asian native species, such as L. Hansonii. Quite shade tolerant, tall and very floriferous. Remember, Martagons may not come up the FIRST year, as they are busy down below forming those perennial roots. Very interesting lineage and definitely and oldie but goodie . The last season that this was offered was 2022. These are not commercially available but I do have a few to offer this season as they have increased nicely. Take a peek at HgG sibling site where you will see further photos as they emerge and bloom. https://minnesotamartagonlilies.com/guinea-gold-dalhansonii/
