‘Creamy Belles’  is an unusual T.A. cross that is very hard to find here within the states. ‘Creamy Belles’ VIII(a-b/-). Parentage: L. × aurelianense X unnamed Asiatic selected by C. Robinson R: L.M. Collicutt (1988), G: L.M. Collicutt (1989), N: Morden Research Center (1996), I: Morden Research Center (1996), REG: Morden Research Center (1997) Inside pale orange-yellow with a vivid yellow centre and throat; outside greyish red suffused to pale orange-yellow; very few, light spots at base of each tepal; nectaries green; pollen strong orange. Fls 130 mm wide; tepals 100 × 50 margins smooth, tips slightly recurved. Lvs scattered, 110 × 20 mm, mid green. Stems 0.86 m, mid green, with 6-9 fls. Mid July.(An Asiatic/Aurelian hybrid.).  Triploid   BOTRYTIS RESISTANT 

I feel very fortunate to have come across this and actually had the pleasure of seeing these in the fields. One of the amazing features of the ‘Belles’ series, is that they are closer to the ground and when they bloom they look like tropical exotic amaryllis on a multiple of stems. They are a knockout within planters for the patios, balconies and entryways
