Marshall (1977), G: Columbia-Platte Lilies (1980), N: Columbia-Platte Lilies (1980), I: Columbia- Platte Lilies (1988), REG: Columbia-Platte Lilies (1988) Inside pale yellow (in very cool weather) to pure white, tepal-tips with a slight pink flush in very cool weather, throat white; outside pale yellow to white, overlaid with light plum along midribs; spots absent; nectaries green-white; pollen orange, anthers either not opening or only partially dehiscing. Tepals 60-90 × 30 mm, margins smooth, tips strongly recurved. Lvs scattered, 100-150 × 20-30 mm, dark green. Stems 1- 1.8 m, dark green with a plum overlay, and with 7-15 fls (including many secondary buds). Late June.
These are a must if you’re a collector of the historic perennials for your oasis. Also if there is anyone that has contorted ‘Albipayne’ , Please contact me. I would regard this as a prize.
