‘America’ Peony is a Single Hybrid that is absolutely a looker for a blast of color for any garden landscape.

Paeonia ‘America’ is widely considered to be the finest single red-flowered peony ever introduced. This very vigorous 1976 Nathan Rudolph hybrid is an early mid-season peony that produces an abundance of exceptionally sturdy stems, each topped with lightly fragrant, single red flowers, each accented by a central bouquet of yellow stamens. Paeonia ‘America’ was awarded the American Peony Society Gold Medal in 1992 and the Award of Landscape Merit in 2009…a true winner!  Truly ‘America’ a single crepe paper bloom,  will have many stop and ask you for the name. One of a kind and a very vigorous display in just a few short seasons.
