Stracciatella Event —–I have to admit that this is one of my favorites in the display gardens last year and for good reason. This sturdy and strong Asiatic has produced nice large bulbs this season for me to send your way. I did my best to emphasize on the color with my camera. Blossoms have a creamy-white tips that are held together with the most unusual and outstanding deep dark purple that is so condensed that it appears Caco in shaded spaces. I find these as my favorites among the several display gardens that I have. ‘Stracciatella’ Asiatic got it’s name from an ice-cream dessert created in Northern Italy at a well known restaurant in the 60s. It was a vanilla flavored concoction with scattered bits of dark pure chocolate. What a delight.. 6 dollars each or 3/15
