Description

Introduced at the 2011 World Lily Show held in Holland’s Keukenhof Park, this beguiling hybrid Oriental variety is fresh, rosy pink with lightly ruffled petals edged in white. The large and fragrant, side-facing blossoms are displayed on strong stems lined with dark green foliage. The grace and charm of this hybrid Oriental Lily is outstanding and is early seen in commercial production. I have some of these that I have overwintered in the Northern climate and below are instructions for all of your Oriental Lily Success Instructions when living in a shorter season and a sub zero climate for many months.

Oriental instructions that have worked for me in Minnesota

Plant in a moist free-draining acidic soil enriched with organic matter for optimal growth. For container planting use a loam-based, and some sand.   Regular feedings and watering throughout the growing season will ensure vibrant blooms. After flowering, leave the stem intact until nice and dry, while slowly reducing the watering of your Oriental Lilies. Then when dry, clean the pot and move the container to a cool frost free spot. In boarders, lift clean and store for the winter in a cooler or suitable chilly spot. Replant the following spring during appropriate climates making sure that they are free from dangerous frosty days.

Plant 5-6 inches deep and water in well.    Zone 4-8  for Oriental Lilies. Warmer Climates will need to make an artificial cold climate for a winter dormancy
