Madame Butterfly is absolutely one of my prized lilies as I have been known to be called by name, ‘Madame Butter’ FLY. I have been known to rescue Monarchs, I am a research citizen scientist, raising and releasing over 1k. When I saw the name of this particular Lilium, I knew I had to have this within the stock here at Hartle-Gilman Gardens, This has so much papillae that my newly eclosed Monarchs find the blossoms immediately, taking their first sips.
