Description

‘Kadango’ Double Blast Roselily Oriental– captures just how remarkable the doubles can preform. The lanceolate foliage, strikingly brilliant color and the multiple layers of ruffles that are powered by fragrance really becomes a Wow factor. I have seen these achieve multiple buds on one stem blooming from the bottom up. Such a classic pattern with many lilies that are arranged alternately with bud formation. Added dimension in the gardens creates some really nice textures in the gardens. I have mine planted with some native ferns that unfurl chartreuse and wane darker in the season. The combination add classy attraction for the viewer. They are really lovely and a fun one to add to you collection of double’s !
Kadango Double Oriental will get up to 4 feet tall
Blooms Late Season July-August
Please plant ‘Kadango’ Double Oriental lily bulbs at least 6 inches deep so they do not emerge prior to those early frost dates in May.

Oriental instructions that have worked for me in Minnesota

Plant in a moist free-draining acidic soil enriched with organic matter for optimal growth. For container planting use a loam-based, and some sand.   Regular feedings and watering throughout the growing season will ensure vibrant blooms. After flowering, leave the stem intact until nice and dry, while slowly reducing the watering of your Oriental Lilies. Then when dry, clean the pot and move the container to a cool frost free spot. In boarders, lift clean and store for the winter in a cooler or suitable chilly spot. Replant the following spring during appropriate climates making sure that they are free from dangerous frosty days.

Plant 5-6 inches deep and water in well.    Zone 4-8  for Oriental Lilies. Warmer Climates will need to make an artificial cold climate for a winter dormancy
