Black Edge

Black Edge has some very unique characteristics. I have had this from a few years ago now and the development is slow, but the potential is improving over the last two years. Buds are truly a bright red and when this opens it reveals the darker midnight red curl. The pistil and stigma blends to the background, and is almost invisible. The slippered anthers are fully loaded with a rust orange. Truly it is a Black Edge when seen grown in a sheltered location among hosta and other perennial beds. Let me not forget…. CHOCOLATE STEMS ……
