‘Black Beard’ I(a/b)
H: C. van der Salm I: Van der Salm Farms Inc. (USA), pre-2017 We are thrilled to have this in the fields as original stock of Hartle-Gilman Gardens. I have pulled a few out and added them to my display gardens and they are preforming so well that we are able to add these to the final list this season. Dark reddish center within the heart of this blossom has very little spotting. Complemented by the nectaries of dark red, holding the beautiful blend of burnt orange pollen. In sunshine this appears as a raspberry red, in the shade it gives the delight of ‘FIVE-O’-CLOCK SHADOW’
