Martagon Attiwaw

Description

‘Attiwaw’ cv. (Un-named L. martagon hybrid x un-named L. martagon hybrid) Hybridized:1982, Grown:1977, Named:1988 Registered :1988: F.Tarlton I: Honeywood Lilies. Near strong yellowish pink (34D), tips strong purplish pink (68D), throat strong orange (25A), outside light orange-yellow (22B) at edges merging to 68B in centre; many purple spots on inner of each petal; nectaries strong orange (25A); pollen strong orange (26A). Petals 40 x 16mm, not ruffled, moderately recurved. Lvs whorled, 80 x 25mm, mid green. Stems 0.9m, light green, with c14 fls. June.

Registered over 50 years ago by a well know gentleman in Canada, Mister F. Tarlton.  This sunrise color glows with abundance as the morning rays capture the movement and breeze of the swaying inflorescence. The soft pink buds swell prior to bursting with a color that welcomes the season of Spring with its bashful blendings of soft rosie-pinkish-purplish palette. Offset with a vibrant blood orange nectaries and matching anthers of pollen. This hybrid seems to glow in sunshine and in moonlight. Attiwaw is a stunning hybrid as it increases nicely over a few seasons .

This is not available commercially, as most of the martagons that I have either were increased naturally or grown are on a extremely limited quantity by my growers.

4-5 feet tall with a large inflorescence once it is established in a few seasons. Nicly increases.
