Description
Candy Stripe was one of the very first Peonies that I purchased for my personal garden space. I was attracted to the dramatic mixed bi-color scheme, and that it was a very late bloomer in my zone 5a USA. The drama of each bud unfolding differently created the perfect attraction in my display gardens as I have a peppermint pink house that compliments the array of blooms. This hybrid grows very fast and it attracts many pollinators. I have noticed that if I have a cooler spring, the red pigment is intensified They really are a fun novelty to have. Sort of like a peppermint twist of a Candy Cane Stripe Delight
