Description

‘Dragon Fruit’.  Oriental is a new hybrid that is being offered at Hartle-Gilman Gardens.

A vigorous hybrid that will have you spinning with delight. The tall, multi bud inflorescence with a spicy fragrance becomes most rewarding as a showcase blooming within the gardens, or as a cut bloom for a winning design.  With deep nectaries, protruding  papilla, and deeply set  midribs along each petal there is plenty for pollinators to gather and  sip the  exotic nectars of ‘Dragon Fruit’ Oriental Hybrid.   Brilliant rose colors with slightly tipped petals create a wave of delight in the structure and sturdiness.  The kaleidoscope of movement creates a pinwheel of visual design that is highly sought in a designer hybrid. I am honored to have these to offer this season for all of you to enjoy in your own oasis of floral gardens of design and fragrances.

Classification: Oriental Hybrid Lily (USDA Zones 7b-9, lows to +5 F. Winter mulch recommended in the colder climates)  I bring mine in and store in a cooler.   Needs well drained sandy soils and dry winters to increase.
