Henryi Species

Description

Henryi Species (native from central China) is the most unique reflexed golden orange flower that is just loaded with protruding papillate. These “whiskers” attract pollinators to gather the nectar held deep within the throat of this blossom. I find Henryi rather sexy with its long alluring lime green stamens that carry pollen. I have numerous Henryi, and it is never a disappointment in the gardens anywhere and everywhere. These were Hartle-Gilman Original Stock that are very robust and vigorous.    One other note of attention is that these bloom very late in the season and many times I have seen humming birds and monarchs stop in for a rest to roost and a sip of energy to continue there great migratory adventure.
