Luscher (1976) Fls mahogany-red, throat pale cream-gold; outside chestnut-brown; spots present; pollen brown. Tepals 40 mm long, thick and fleshy, margins smooth. Lvs whorled, midrib dark purple. Stems 0.9-1.2 m. July. (Published in Lilies and other Liliaceae, 1976: 91.). Classic and Historic rare beauty
