Description
L. ‘Bronze Medallion’
has such an alluring appeal that it is well looked for with collectors near and far. The peach tepals open with a blushing rose and darken with age to a cherry red. This is a martagon that is very unique with its frosted buds that create an amazing display in the June garden displays. Pollen slippers have a matching rusty glow that accommodate the peachy ‘ness’ of the inflorescence. There is definitely something lurking in the genetics of this one that I have now been doing research on. The brassy bronze is a dead giveaway in some of the lineage. The fragrance is subtle, soft and spicy. A welcome of the wane of spring into the birth of summer sunnier mornings. If I could chose five, this is one of my top five martagons.
