Northern Carillon 1982 Collicutt STARBURST SENSATION X AURELIANENSE MOONLIGHT GROUP. Spot less and magnificent — Strong deep dark maroon reverse shading Strong Fragrance to swallow within your lungs on a mid summer eve.

I had the pleasure of witnessing these growing in long rows that were just not quite in bloom. The bud count on these were profound.

Collicutt (1984), N: Morden Research Center (1996), I: Morden Research Center (1996), REG: Morden Research Center (1997) Inside strong purplish red in basal two-thirds, white in apical third, throat strong purplish red; outside strong purplish red, shading to white at tepal-edges and tips; buds also; spots absent; nectaries making a magenta-purple and green ‘star’ in centre of fl.; filaments light green; style strong orange shading darker at stigma. Fls 110mm wide, strongly fragrant; tepals 100 × 60 mm, margins smooth, tips slightly recurved. Lvs scattered, 140 × 20 mm, dark green. Stems 1.5 m, dark mottled green, with 10-15 fls. Late July to Aug. Triploid.  (An Orienpet (OT) lily.)   Vigorous than ‘Starburst Sensation’ This hybrid has won the prestigious Isabella Preston Award, Jan de Graaff Award, Leslie Woodriff Award and many others at regional societies WOW WOW WOW  How fortunate to receive freshly harvested bulbs right from the hybridizers test fields.
